Great experience from walking in the door. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing, 6 of us dining together, 6 different meals arriving at the table at the same time piping hot. Recommend the Lamb Shank Shepherds pie. Pricing fair £158 for 6, 2 course meals and drinks....made even better by using £50 Tesco vouchers doubled up to £100. Will definitely when in the area again.....pity no Chef and Brewer in South Devon

Staff haven't got a clue how to treat genuine customers. I would suggest much more training is required. Never lable a person unless you are in possession of the full facts.
I have been in the trade for over 30 years. Disgusting.

Very busy pub. Lovely well cooked food. Only negative is both times I went I felt the potatoes were disappointing (jacket potato and roast)

Staples in front door are sharp and need removing. Did tell staff but not removed. Overcharged but did get refunded. Beer flat, second pint better.

Been here many a time not really had a bad experience, at Emma's we had a while wait but thought it's busy.
The food has mainly always been of a good standard.
I think they go the xtra mile to make the customer happy.
It's clean pub and restaurant, the staff are fine and polite.
The tiolets are well kept.
Car parking is good with good amount of spaces.

An absolute gem of a pub, we were in the area and fancied a pub lunch.
This pub has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff were extremely attentive. The food was a very good standard and you get your moneys worth. I reccomend the steak and ale pie. I often pass on the way to Norfolk so will be visiting again soon. I wish all pubs were like this.

Valentine's lunch with my fiancé. Quaint little gem in the middle of MK. Food and service was amazing. It was a very busy Friday lunch but we didn't have to wait for long. There was a lovely old fire place in the middle of the room. There are 4 different dining areas, on different levels, so some areas may be a bit difficult for wheel chair access. The bee garden looks inviting, can't wait to visit it when the weather is nice and warm. Definitely will go back for another visit with our friends and family.

My partner and I along with our little dog just been to Ye Old Swan for a quick lunch. It was easy to find , plenty of parking spaces which is always a good start. We walked in and were greeted by Amy, who was friendly , approachable and had smile on her face . Amy made us feel very welcome and made the effort to find seats for us when the dog friendly area was fully booked. I ordered the chicken & bacon ciabatta and my other half had the steak option, both absolutely gorgeous! Would highly recommend and will be coming back !! Thank you for having us :)

Yet another successful visit to the Old Swan this Sunday lunchtime. Very very busy but didn’t phase the girls one bit nor did it effect the service the food or the atmosphere. We had the Sunday roast and the beef was so tender and tasty. Well done to all the staff for making us so welcome and serving such wonderful food (and beer)

This is a lovely friendly pub. The staff are so nice, helpful and warm. My husband, son and daughter in law went for a meal on Monday. We were welcomed and looked after by Amy who has served us on previous visits. She couldn’t do enough to help us enjoy our visit. My son had booked our table for March instead of February by accident. She found the booking so she could cancel it. She is such a lovely person and a credit to your team and has looked after us well every time we have visited.

Really nice pub. Burgers looked great. Steak wasn't good but was knocked off bill which is nice. Crab and avocado salad was embarrassingly small/depressing (wish I'd taken a pic). It was basically crab pate that made my gf a bit ill with literally one slice of avo 😭 Service was great tho and prices are reasonable.

Went for Sunday lunch in Late January. The pub itself is lovely and exactly what you'd hope for from an old rural pub. Similarly the staff were great.
The food however was a let down. We both had the mixed Sunday Roast and found item that were cold (some were hot, some were cold). I don't expect cold turkey, or mash for example. It's not good enough.

So, I don’t normally bother with reviews, but felt compelled to on this occasion. Pretty much owing to one member of staff.
The amazing Weronika!
Everyone was lovely but she went the extra mile.
Reseating us to another table when the dim light was a little too ‘romantic’ for us old fogies!
She was super attentive, friendly and kind. Taking the time to talk to us, even though she was obviously very busy.
The food was great! Albeit the portion size was bordering on the ridiculous. I have a relatively small appetite and the burger was beyond huge! Like 8 inches tall in fact…
Great if you’re a big eater.
Slightly embarrassing if you’re not, but hey, better to have too much than not enough right?
The Manager even checked in on us!
I’ve eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and I’m not saying this is Michelin star standard, but it’s not that far off.
The stand out star of the evening though was definitely Weronika!
You need to give her a raise AND a promotion!
We will be back soon and will recommend to all our foodie friends for sure.

Fabulous meal here this evening, such a treat for our wedding anniversary. The chef and team are really talented, food was absolutely delicious (cod and chips, and steak and ale pie - highly recommend). Cosy atmosphere, friendly helpful service from all the staff.
